Join the habitat helpers every first Sunday of the month to give the meadows a little TLC. All ages and abilities welcome, tools and refreshments provided.

Dipper Malkin (Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre)
John Dipper and Dave Malkin will be giving a day of workshops at the Centre on fiddle and guitar from 10am to 4pm followed by an evening concert. Expect a day of fun and insightful music making and honing, and an evening of beautiful melodies, blistering reels and impassioned songs with lyrics from our ancestors mixed with modern day musings. A treat for the ears! Tickets are £10 from the centre's front desk, £8.00 for concessions

Autumn Apple Day (Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre)
Come along to celebrate the apple on National Apple Day! Enjoy the local cider on offer at our stand and check out our cookery demos, making apple jelly and toffee apples. Get crafty with apples in our family activity, making autumn leaf suncatchers, Gruffalo crumble, shrunken heads and much more. Refreshments available.

Mary Anning and the Dinosaurs (October Half Term Activity) (Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre)
Examine some local fossils and see them through Mary Anning's eyes and then create an instant fossil shell to take home. Take part in a virtual dig, becoming a palaeontologist and uncovering some dinosaur bones. Can you piece them together and work out what type of creature you have discovered? £4.00 per accompanied 3-11 year old, booking advised.
