The advertising system enables you to put in your advertisement yourself, and to pay online where required. All advertisements and entries are submitted for approval before going online.

The advertising year runs from 1st June to 31st May each year. Prices for existing advertising categories will remain at approximately the same levels as 2008, in keeping with our “non-profit” policy. 

The advertising categories are:

• Business, including accommodation advertisements
• Classified advertisements
• Box advertisements

Business and Accommodation advertising options

Option A. 1 line entry with business name, phone no, 1 line description

Option B. 1 row entry with business name, phone no, email address, 4 line description

Option C. 1 row entry with business name, phone no, email address, website address, 4 line description, image (200px wide)

Option D. Bold green 1 row entry with business name, phone no, email address, website address, 4 line description, image (200px wide), and more information button. This leads to your full page advertisement, with descriptions and large images and tabular information within a simple word processor style window.

Option E. All green 1 row entry with business name, phone no, email address, website address, 4 line description, image (200px wide), and more information button. This leads to your full page advertisement, with descriptions and large images and tabular information within a simple word processor style window, and including page access statistics and your own customer enquiry form that returns emails back to your specified email address.

Business and Accommodation advertising rates

Business advertising rates reduce throughout the advertising year on a pro rata basis, as shown in the table below. The rates include VAT, and a VAT invoice/receipt will be sent on completion of the advertisement

Existing advertisers who renew their adverts on 1st June will normally be offerred a loyalty discount, to be notfied at renewal time.

Boxed advertising

These appear down the left or right hand side of website pages.

• Home page Fixed ad - £40/month.
• Fixed ads (other pages) - £20/month
• Rotating ads (other pages) - £10/month.

Classified advertising

• Advertisements below £100 can advertise for free for a week.
• Advertisements valued £100 or over are charged at £2.50/week, with a definable expiry date.

Payments

You can choose to pay online for your advertisement via our secure PayPal system, or make a cheque out for the required amount payable to "Church Stretton Town Council", or make a cash payment at the Council Office. The address is: 60 High Streeet, Church Stretton, Shropshire, SY6 6BY.
Payment can also be made by Bank Transfer. Please contact the office for details (01694 722113)

The list of recommended designers for your advertisement or entry at reasonable rates is listed below. Please contact one to ensure your entry is attractive and effective

Events

Nominated authors can create their own events and clubs/organisations entries, with linked full page descriptions at no cost.

Photographs for gallery

Your photographs can be submitted for consideration and inclusion in the gallery for free display.
