Road Closures A49 - Bayston Hill and Onibury

Road Scheme – Bayston Hill and Onibury -  Scheme 1: A49 Bayston Hill Pedestrian Crossing-   Start of works: 9 December 2015. End of works: 15 January 2015.  Hours of work: Daytime working until 18 December 2015. There will then be a Christmas break. From 4 January 2016 there will be day and night works.    Location of works: The works are located on the A49 at Bayston Hill.   Additional information received – forthcoming Kier (Highways England) scheme which is planned to take place utilising overnight (20.00hrs to 06.00hrs) road closures of the A49 between Church Stretton and Dobbies Island, Shrewsbury and also Lower Pulley Lane, Bayston Hill.    The work is to install a new pedestrian crossing facility in Bayston Hill village (please see attached plans and closure / diversion plans).     Works under two way traffic signals (off peak 09.30 to 16.00hrs) are due to be complete by the 18th December.
Following Christmas there will be a week of day/night works starting on 4th January, this would include the overnight closure of Lower Pulley Lane when the A49 is closed in both directions.     Contact:   Gary Parton, Traffic Manager  01743 258786  gary.parton@shropshire.gov.uk

Scheme 2: A49 Onibury Bridge Parapet Repair   Start of works: 12 December 2015.    End of works: 24 January 2016.   Location of works: The works are located on the A49 at Onibury Bridge.    Contact:  Andy.w.wiilson@Kier.co.uk
