Grants for Community Groups in Shropshire

In the current Grant Programmes - 2011/12 - three schemes are offering grant funding to benefit community groups in the County:

Shropshire Grassroots Fund offers grants of between £250 and £5000 to Shropshire community groups with an average income of less than £30,000 a year. The fund prioritises smaller, volunteer-led groups which have been in existence for at least 12 months, and can demonstrate that their project or activity is needed by the community.

Shropshire Community Fund provides small amounts of money to help voluntary and community groups to start or develop their activities around health and well-being.

The purpose of the Millichope Fund for Community Buildings is to provide small grants of up to £500, to enable village halls and community centres to purchase items of equipment to help meet the needs of their local community.
