Gallery > Stretton Hills > Dark sky over the hills

< Previous

Since Church Stretton has gained dark sky status (milky way class) I paid a visit to the hills by the town to capture the amazing skies that can be seen.  The blue you can see is the fading twilight (10pm) and the bright orange is the light from the Birmingham region.  Cassiopeia and the milky way can be made out fairly clearly although I would highly recommend visiting around August for a better view of the galaxy.
