Flower Festival (Stokesay Church)
This year the theme for Stokesay’s Flower Festival is “Children’s Bible Stories. Our talented arrangers will be illustrating some very diverse subjects from the Old Testament including “Jonah and the Whale” and “Daniel in the Lion’s Den”. Our New Testament stories will range from the Nativity of Jesus to the Crucifixion and Resurrection.
As always we will be serving refreshment with homemade sandwiches, sausage rolls and freshly baked cakes. There will also be a bookstall with plants and bric-a-brac.
The church is next door to Stokesay Castle, SY7 9AH, off the A49 just south of Craven Arms. English Heritage very generously allows us to use their car park and toilets over the Flower Festival weekend. There is level access to the church and facilities.
Entrance to the Flower Festival is free but we welcome all donations. This year a share of our profits will go to “Smile Train UK” a charity which treats children with cleft palates in more than 85 countries in the world.
